This, the sixth track on “Blackout”, was written by Nate “Danja” Hills, Marcella “Ms Lago” Araica and by Corte Ellis of the “Soul Diggaz” production team (who wrote two other songs for the album that failed to make the final cut). “Get Naked” was produced by Danja, and mixed by Ms Lago. Vocal production was by Jim “Beanz” Washington. Sure, it's another one of Britney's songs about sex, but, to give credit where it's due, she approaches the subject from every angle. This time it's full of ribald fun and a "thrusting" rhythm...

When visiting BreatheHeavy today I was a little shocked to see a reference to new anti-paparazzi laws, signed by California State Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in October 2009, which came into force on 1st January 2010. Under this law, it is illegal to "to take and sell unauthorized photos of celebrities in 'personal or familial activity'". The question of what is and is not authorised would obviously come into play in any particular dispute, but it seems likely that most of the "shocking" pictures of Britney Spears taken in the last few years could not be taken now.

This is the third full-scale biography of Britney Spears, following Larry Getlen’s heartless “Britney: not that innocent”, published in 2003 and Sean Smith’s rather more affectionate “Britney: the biography”, from 2005. Smith also wrote a long and kindhearted chapter about her in his biography of Justin Timberlake. The world still awaits an autobiography, although such a work could leave the reader feeling less enlghtened at the end than at the beginning.

A lot of Britney fans have been somewhat flummoxed by Michael Jackson’s reported remark to Rabbi Schmuley Boteach that "I don't believe that she'll have any great longevity in the public eye because she doesn't understand the power of mystery." Nobody knows quite what he meant by “great longevity”. Obviously there are those who assume he is going to be proved right (because he WAS Michael Jackson, after all, and therefore superhuman in his opinions as well as his performing ability), and that he meant she wouldn’t have a 30-year career like Madonna, etc. etc.
